Picocrypt

Description

Picocrypt is a very small, simple and modern file encryption tool that does one thing well: encrypt and decrypt files and folders with strong, audited cryptography. It uses XChaCha20 for encryption and Argon2id for key derivation, adds Reed-Solomon error correction to protect against bit rot, and verifies integrity to detect tampering. The entire tool is a single portable binary with no installation, accounts or telemetry, which makes it easy to audit and ideal for long-term archival or sharing sensitive files. It is a focused open-source alternative to proprietary archive encryption.
