Cryptomator
Open Source GPL-3.0Transparent client-side encryption for your cloud files
Description
Cryptomator encrypts your files before they are uploaded to any cloud storage such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Nextcloud. It creates a virtual encrypted drive (a vault) that you unlock with a passphrase; everything written to it is transparently encrypted with AES, including file contents and file names, so the cloud provider only ever sees opaque data. There are no accounts, no servers and no back doors, and the format is open and independently audited. Cryptomator runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, making it a strong privacy alternative to BitLocker and proprietary cloud encryption.
