Description

GrapheneOS is a security- and privacy-focused mobile operating system based on Android, designed for Google Pixel devices. It ships with no Google apps or services by default and adds substantial hardening: a hardened memory allocator, stronger sandboxing, per-app network and sensor permissions, and a compatibility layer that lets you run sandboxed Google Play without granting it special privileges. It receives fast security updates and verified boot. GrapheneOS is widely regarded as the gold standard for a private, secure smartphone and a strong alternative to stock Android.
