ClearURLs is a browser extension that automatically removes tracking elements from URLs to protect your privacy. Many links you click or share carry parameters such as utm_source, fbclid or gclid that let companies follow you across the web; ClearURLs cleans these out before the request is sent, blocks some hyperlink-auditing and ETag tracking, and can skip URL-shortener redirects. It works quietly in the background using a community-maintained ruleset and is a useful complement to ad and tracker blockers.
